A couple of months ago, my son asked me if I would draw a picture of One Direction, so that he could give it to his friend, who apparently is their biggest fan. I said I would, and then I subsequently forgot about it. Last night my son reminded me that I had not drawn the picture yet.
I said, “Right, of course, I’ll get to that soon.”
He said, “Her birthday is tomorrow, so I need to give it to her in the morning.”
I said, “You want me to draw the picture tonight?!”
He said, “Yes.”
Since my son clearly likes this girl, and I don’t want to break a promise, I told him I would get it done before he went to school in the morning. When I Googled “One Direction,” I saw that there were five members in the band. Since I didn’t want to stay up all night, I asked my son if his friend had a favorite of the five.
He said, “Yes. Harry.”
Shocker; this girl likes the kid with the flowing brown locks and crystal blue eyes. So after I put my son to bed, I sat down with my pencil, pens, and watercolors, and sketched Harry.
I’d like to think that I helped my son out, but something tells me this girl’s heart is reserved for Harry.
